Following her training in Renaissance style drawing and oil painting at Bob Grant’s Fine Art Studios Nina has painted predominantly landscapes capturing scenes both local  (Charleston Lake, Murphy’s point),  and distant (Baffin Island series). Dramatic skies and moody forests predominate.   Although oil paint is her preferred medium, she has  explored the use of  oil pastels, soft pastels and acrylic paint.  In the last several years her  artistic endeavours have been  focussed on teaching art in a way that is unique and engaging. Nina strives to instil confidence and a powerful sense of mastery in students of all ages as they develop their skills and embrace their creativity.   Most recently she painted a large scale portrait for the set of the theatre production "Murder at the Avalon".
